Hi, I'm Angelia, the founder of Pup Haus.
If you're anything like me, your dog isn't just a pet, they're family.
Eight years ago, I welcomed my Italian Greyhound, Bailey, into my life, and she completely changed it. Since then, she's faced more health challenges than I ever imagined.
Bailey underwent major surgery for luxating patella, where her kneecap was ‘floating’ and required corrective surgery. During her recovery, she couldn't support herself properly, so for three months I helped her with every part of her daily routine including holding her up while she went to the toilet and then supporting her in physiotherapy for an additional six months!
She has also battled meningitis on three separate occasions, lives with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and has severe food allergies. In 2024, she spent seven days in emergency intensive care after suffering a life-threatening allergic reaction following treatment at a dental centre. There were moments when I truly believed I was going to lose her, but she fought through it and made a remarkable recovery.
Caring for Bailey has taught me patience, compassion and the importance of truly understanding every dog's individual needs. She has required constant one-on-one care throughout her life, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Because Bailey’s welfare was always my top priority, I rarely travelled on my own or went on holidays without her. I simply couldn't imagine leaving her with someone unless I trusted them completely.
That's why I created Pup Haus.
I wanted to create the kind of care I had always searched for myself, a calm, home-based environment where small dogs are treated like family, never just another booking. Every guest receives personalised attention, enriching adventures and plenty of affection, with a maximum of two dogs in my care at any one time.
The photo on this page happens to be with another beautiful puppy, but Bailey is the inspiration behind everything Pup Haus stands for. My love for dogs extends far beyond my own, and I care for every dog as though they were part of my own family.
